A user-friendly web portal which maps India's crop diversity across all districts for both current and historical crops.
Promote the consumption of traditional and locally available nutrient-rich foods.
Select any state and district to compare indicators and data on crop diversity, nutritional value of crops, soil, groundwater, rainfall, and cost of cultivation - serving as a decision-support tool.
Prevent nutrition-related chronic diseases, e.g. obesity and diabetes, by encouraging the consumption of micronutrient-rich coarse grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables.
For India to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is now time to bring together the science of implementation with the science of communication so that nutrition is on the political and administrative agenda along with hygiene and clean drinking water.
